Create menus and calculate the amount of food needed to make them a reality. Request food and cooking materials. Prepare and cook individual dishes and cuisines or entire meals. Examine the food service area and kitchens. Teach employees how to handle, prepare, and cook food. Purchase supplies and equipment. Oversee the culinary crew and assistants. Keep track of food, supplies, and equipment inventories and records. Clean workspaces and the kitchen Hire people to plan banquets and buffets. Oversee kitchen operations. Knowledge and expertise.
